The priority window to submit a Parental Choice application opened January 14, 2026, and will run through February 22, 2026.
The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) released high school graduation rates for the Class of 2025. CCPS proudly announces our 2025 graduation rate is 94.4%, outperforming the State average by 2.2 percentage points.
Quarter 2 report cards are now available on the FOCUS Portal.

Mrs. Georgie Elgin
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Principal of Poinciana Elementary School. My experience in Collier County spans over 25 years as a teacher, Reading Coach, Intervention Support Specialist and Administrator. My passion is to serve students while leading all stakeholders in a way that establishes a collaborative climate to enhance instructional strategies. My vision is for our students to become strategic thinkers, proficient readers and problem solvers so they will be able to SHINE in every life situation as lifelong learners. Pelican Way Celebrations
PES holds celebrations for our Positive Pelicans twice a year.

Special Olympics
PES is proud of our Students with Disabilities unit and their integration into the school setting, including in the yearly Special Olympics event.

Positive Behavior Pelican Way Referrals
Every Friday, PES Pelicans’ positive behavior is celebrated with positive referrals, written by their teachers

Everglades Champion School
PES is enrolled in the Everglades Champion Schools program, sponsored by The Everglades Foundation. This program helps enrich the education of our students by teaching them about Florida-specific concepts.
